I didn't know that the SH was actually heavier, you learn something new everyday. But as for the big decision between a Type SH and a GS-R.......GS-R all the way. The whole lightweight thing and blah blah blah people already said. GS-R! wish i had one....i like my LS though

GSR because while the SH might have more freeway top end speed. Driving that fast (140+) in an integra or prelude is teh = suck

Way more aftermarket support for the GSR.

LOwrestling2001 had it right in the 3rd and 4th sentences of his post. Right on dude!

GSR is faster than the SH.

I have an LS engine and I raced my friends base model (sport shift) and won.
I lose barely to 5 speeds.

Note: THe base models are faster than the type-SH's.

I have a GSR and i know a guy that has a SH. Both the same mods, cai and catback. We raced and he won 1, i won 1, and then we tied for the third. I drove a SH and i don't think its as fun as the integra.

Tell him to get the GSR. I have the GSR and test drove the SH. In my opinion it couldn't compare to the GSR.

Go with the GSR, it's so much more fun to drive, it's lighter and has the hatch so you can carry stuff with ya if you need to.

First we have a guys who wants speed, so he narrows his cars down to an Integra GSR or Prelude??

So here are some head to head comparison numbers from C&D and SCC(same conditions, standard testing technique); unless you want to base ur decision on all street racing stories:

C&D:
Prelude 1/4mile: 15.4
GSR:15.7
Prelude Lap time:1:22.3
GSR lap time:123.4

SCC
Prelude SH 1/4mile:15.5
GSR 1/4mile:15.7
Prelude SH lap time: 1:12.49
GSR lap time: 1:13.90

So ya, the GSR owns the Lude...
