Default noisy brakes

Hi there I am a new Integra owner, just bought a 96 LS in great condition but one thing I have noticed is that the front brakes seem very noisy under braking, like a sort of creaking -squeking sound. is this common to all integras and if so what can be done about it? thanks and look forward to particiipating in this forum.

Mine doesn't do that. Can you check the condition of your brake pads? How much material is remaining? Are the rotors worn funny with a rough surface? Aside from guessing that they're worn down, it's kinda hard to do anything without hearing it firsthand.

1) check fluid - low fluid could result in poor brake piston pressures
2) check pads - if they look low, or you cant tell...replace them. after all you just bought the teg, for piece of mind replace the pads
3) get rotors resurfaced

Listen very carefully...this can get tricky - get...new...brakes, turn...your...rotors

it could be as simple as the pads and calipers arent greased with moly-kote.

Definitely lube the back of the pads and the caliper bolts when you change the pads. If the surface on your rotors is not smooth, check their thickness to be sure they are still over the minimum thickness and get them resurfaced. Always resurface your rotors when replacing pads. Also, if it is the rear brakes, I heard it is good to clean the hub surface to prevent squeaks.
