Definitely lube the back of the pads and the caliper bolts when you change the pads. If the surface on your rotors is not smooth, check their thickness to be sure they are still over the minimum thickness and get them resurfaced. Always resurface your rotors when replacing pads. Also, if it is the rear brakes, I heard it is good to clean the hub surface to prevent squeaks.
