you can't be TOO sure its the injectors...but they will tick with increasing engine speed to a certain point. and that point isn't that high.

Here is a quick question, this guy replied to my email and said they would work, these are out of a obd1 prelude, supposed to be 310cc(which is a higher flow than mine, right?)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

Does anyone know if they will work?
I was searching thru threads, only other symptom i saw other ppl had was that it could be the lost motion things right?isnt that just for vtec?

Really would like to avoid blowing money on things i dont need.

yes,ill get some injector cleaner, just to see,but maybe i could get better flowing injectors anyways...
the question is,will they work?

first off...TICKING IS NORMAL! mine tick like crazy, especially when the motor is cold - no harm done. now, is something wrong with the motor behavioral-wise or what?

and...lost motion is VTEC engines only.

i figured lost motion was vtec only...behavior wise,i dont know if theres much difference....seemed it had a LIL more kick, but maybe im wrong...and its not like a tick you have to raise the hood for,i can hear it loud and clear while im driving, and it sounds as loud as ive heard some spun bearings sound....its almost as loud as my toyota that did have a spun bearing, just in this case,my mechanic says the sound is definitely comming from the top end...
the way i figure it is this, there is absolutely no way it would start making this sound like it is for no apparent reason,or because of age only...i live in daytona, and this problem started happening shortly after we had all of our hurricanes...truth to tell,i dont know what the problem is,but i want it fixed, especially if its somthing i can fix before it becomes a bigger problem...

Now,will those injectors on ebay work, the one i previously put the link on for?

True story. The ticking is normal. It does not mean your injectors are bad...if in fact it is the injectors.

Sounds like a rod knock/spun bearing type sound from the head? Youre POSITIVE it's from the head, and not the block? If it's from the head, it could be bad lifters, or it could be a bent valve maybe? If you need a replacement head, check out www.thepartstrader.com and forsale forums on various boards. You can use a head from a B18A, B18B, or a B20B/Z. I picked up a B20 head for $60 bucks from a guy on honda-tech.
