Default Noob! Getting back into an Integra tomorrow.

After not having a Honda/Acura for quite some time (since I sold my 94 Integra LS) I just bid/won one yesterday on eBay. Flying to NY to pick it up and bring it back in the morning. I was looking for something fairly inexpensive and fairly clean that can get me through the winter. My current/regular car is not at all fond on the winter.

Pics for anyone interested as soon as I can pick it up, get it home, and get it cleaned up. It looks to be stock, so I guess they may not be all that interesting. Hopefully it will make a 6hr+ drive w/o problems.

What do you all think of the deal?:

92 GS, Manual, 133K, Black/Black, Leather. $2750.

Just saying hello, and hoping y'all are going to help me out with some info in the coming days!

Sounds like a good deal.

Good luck with the car and welcome to HAN.

sounds like a good deal if it is in good condition. What is your other car?

But it was maintained really well it's whole life, so it still runs like a top!! have fun w/ it, they are great cars!!

Default It was a long drive..

but a successful one. The car seems pretty clean, aside from some door dings. I got a first pass cleaning done, but am going to wait on pics until I can claybar the whole thing and give it a good detailing. Turns out it is a 93 not a 92 although I don't think there is a diff.

It seems pretty tight, and the only mechanical prob I can see so far after about 10 hrs driving total is a very low idle (about 500 rpm) that really shakes the car -- esp with the lights on. Kicks in as soon as I put the clutch in to roll to a stop. I'm will be searching for tips on that in a few days.

I am trying to find out if it has had the timing belt replaced yet. Does anyone know if Honda/Acura keeps records of such things (perhaps by VIN?) I may call my local dealer to see if they have anything they can track. I would hate to do it again if the car has already had it. No records with the car .

Bonzo: Other car is a BMW 540i. Between the RWD, it being lowered, and the width of the tires on it -- it is perfectly worthless in the snow. That one I have some pics for (no flames, pls I know it's not a teg, but those are coming.)

hey man my 91 ls does the same thing it only happens when i come to a full stop it idles at around 700 or so for a few seconds to a few minutes and then all of a sudden drops down to around 500 the car shakes likes it wasnt to die for maybe 2 seconds and then jumps rigth abck up to the 700 or so mark, i am stumped as hell as to what it, ive heard that the fast idle control valve needs to be cleaned but i cant get to mine its on the back of the intake manifold, other then i have no clue... does your car do that but even more and worse when the ac is ran, its bad enough with mine that the few times i run my ac i have to turn it off when i stop then back on once im driving...if you figure it out man lemme know, its very annoying
