Default What If??

What If you had the chance to trade your 96 Gsr for a 98 eclipse gsx...would you do it?? Stock for stock...the gsr has higher mileage than eclispe.

no bcause the gsr is the better car in terms of build quality
you dont want to have rebuild your engine after 100k because i know 4 guys with DSMs and they have all rebuilt turbos and new manifolds
IMO keep the teg, it'll be better in the long run

Mitsubishi's are crap. They have super low build quality. I'm sticking with my GSR.

my friend has a GST with 110,000 miles and it still pulls strong and fast. He recently had to replace his water pump, but with that many miles it doesn't suprise me with any car.

But the thing is that any car breaks down faster being force inducted than a car that is not anyways...I wanted to go with turbo but i am limited by funds and the knowlegde to do a custom turbo on my gsr that is why i was thinking the dsm is the easiest way with turbo. How do you force inducted people feel???How long does your car last being force inducted before detonation or something goes wrong???Also give an estimation of the amount of mileage it take for your car to break down?

Why doesn't Mistu build the turbo eclipse anymore? Because it wasn't any good, it needed improvement in many places. If you want the curr. improved version of that engine, which I have not formed an opinion of myself, get into an EVO, all in all forced cars run harder the N/A.

Not necessarily true. The high revs of an all motor engine put much more wear on an engine than a turbo. A built turbo engine will handle the force of the turbo better than a built N/A engine revving to 10k rpm.

No, because DSM's are too heavy.

Then again, I would never buy a '96 GS-R, either. :chuckles:
