Default Starting Issue

So my car is having this problem, and I have talked to a few friends, but no good answers. Here is the prob. Sometimes when I go to start my car, usually after sitting in the parking lot at work all day....it doesnt want to start. Keep trying and nothing. Sometimes it will start up, rev to 2k rpm, then die. If I leave it for a while (meaning like 30 min) it will start. Now my the thing is, it is happening more now. It happened after work last night, and just now as I was trying to go to lunch. I have no problem from a cold start in the morning. It is just after work or whatever. I checked everything, the battery is new, spark plug wires all connected good, terminals on battery are fine, has fuel - coolant - oil. Dont know what else to check. Please let me know what you think.

I think its your main relay here, have that same intermittent problem in my Integra. One thing to note is it almost never happens in the morning.

It's probably because you rolled up your windows. This expands the relay joints, creating an open circuit. Turn on the ignition then listen for the 2 seconds fuel pump hum at the gas filler. If you don't hear it, the relay is out cold.

This is because the fuel rail is still pressurized. The quick fuel cut-off spikes tach readings.

Here are some good sites.

Default starting problems

Try turning the key until just before it starts, which will prime the fuel pump. Also, don't let the gas get too low or your fuel pump which is in the gas tank may overheat.
By the way, anyone have problems with random movements of the speedometer?
Thanks
