Problems with Autometer Air Fuel Gauge HELP!
I just installed a autometer air fuel gauge. I wired the purple wire off the gauge to the white with red stripped wire (2nd biggest connector..one on the left? side of the ecu). This is on a 95 teg ls by the way. When I turn the car to the on position it when the engine is cold the gauge says all the way rich. Then you start it and let it idle and it stays there for around 10 seconds. Then it just starts going down everylight till it goes lean to no lights at all. Then when I rev it somewhat goes into the lean range sometimes. Then when I drive it it randomly will go up to stoich but never to rich again. Anyone have any ideas why it would be doing this?
Thanks for any help. I wanna get this fixed.

Because that Air/Fuel guage is not accurate. It is only based upon the signal that is given by the narrowband O2 that you have hooked up. It is not giving you a full "tuning" base to know whether or not you're rich or lean. It's no different than a christmas ornament. Your best bet would be to get an EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) guage to give you a more accurate reading of what's going on...
