I would stay away from it unless you need it to raise you rev limiter because you have aftermarket cams and drivetrain. As this is not the case.

 

what mods would i need to make it worthwhile?

 

higher revline will **** up yoiur car if you don't have it tuned to do so.

 

Cams, cam gears, valves and valve springs...the valves and valve springs being the most important. But if you are going to do all that work you might as well port and polish the head as well since it will be apart anyway.

 

I have a skunk 2 chip in my 00 gsr you will feel a big difference in vtec especially at 6,800 vtec will pull really hard but I dont know if its my ecu but I have a hard time starting like the car will start then die I have to start the car and hold it at idle for about a minute but if you think its worth it go for it peace

 

Besides the chip what else are you running?
