So, I should probably, in the safest possible way to be, install new pistons headgasket and vales to be safe? Dont want to have to buy a new engine.

I'd personally go w/ the Rev Hard Gen. 3 Kit. You might need lower compression pistons though but it is definately worth it.

I was just told by mechanic that a cheap way to go on a turbo is to buy a turbo off of a 4 cyclinder turbo'ed Ford Thunderbird like 86-88, he said that they will bolt right on and will cost very little. Has anyone ever heard of this being done?

Okies I had a leakdown test down and the test results rock average of 4% leakdown for all cylinders. I am going to be buying a Thermal Research cat back 3" and a ACT ai4-xtxx stage 2 clutch with a ACT flywheel. Then checking out the turbos. Still unsure what turbo to buy. I might even consider supercharging the motor. Has anyone ever seen a supercharged Teg? I called Endyn about the " un " supercharger that they have coming to the market, but they told me that it was in a legal battle ATM. Anyone have anymore info on this. The specs that they posted sound impressive.

Endyn supercharger will never come out, so dont consider it.

I would like to know why people are recommending the kits they are recommending in this thread. Can anyone back up their recommendations or are they just tossing out brands for no reason? Lets try and stay informed here, not just give blank recommendations.

First off, if youre looking to go 300whp on that motor, your balls are big. Not saying it cant be done safely, but you can only go so far on luck and good engineering...eventually fate will catch up to you.

First things first, try and search the archived posts here and on Honda Tech to find out some information. Also read howstuffworks to understand how a turbocharger works and what each component does. This understanding should help you decipher the junk kits from the quality ones right off the bat. Thats where you should start, then once you have a better idea of whats out there, then come with more questions.

And to quickly answer, do not get FMAX, their fuel system sucks. RevHard is a well put together kit, but you can find it for a better price. If anyone wants to elaborate, feel free and we can discuss the kits further.
