When people start switching to headers on their ITR, they generally end up with a "JDM" header that has a longer main pipe under the car than the USDM headers, and they're also frequently switching to 2.5" diameter pipes. Perhaps in the case of a turbo application you'd want even larger diameter.

I don't know the exact cat length, but there are basically two different lengths, one for USDM applications and one for JDM/aftermarket applications.

You could email (slow) or call (faster) Dave Stadulis of SMS Products at 540-287-6384
or smsproducts@adelphia.net .

This is the same SMSP that produces the famous headers, and he knows what kinds of cat or what kinds of test pipes ITR owners are likely to need for their various applications.

I bought a high flow cat for mine with the intention of installing it some day....that day never came...I just don't see any reason for having a cat on my car (obd 1 ECU)

It still sits in the box in my garage...

LOL... Who knows. Perhaps the poster has the fantasy of passing his county emissions inspection, or perhaps they only have a visual equipment inspection.

luckily here in Michigan we don't need to have such morbid fantasies...no emission tests, or inspections...here everyone runs their race setups on the street...if (when) they bring the testing back, we'll all be screwed...

No Inspections, No Emmissions. Thats Great! I Used To Live In Va, It Was Such A Bone Job To Own A Car. (city Stickers, :wtf: ) No Offense To Anyone But Give Me A Break. They Suspended My Out State Licence Twice Neither Of Which Were For Moving Voilations.(j Walking And No Insurance Even Though I Did Have It.)no insurance comes w/ an automatic $500 fine, so to avoid paying that and getting back my "privilage to drive in va" i had to provide proof for that period of time and pay a reinstatement fee (for my out of state license). When had NOT lived there in over a year. COMMONWEALTH STATE = COMMUNIST STATE (sorry george). I've payed them enough to own part of it. hfawk:
