I was at the track the other nite and was running my car. My 3rd never grinds or anything. Out of no where it started not going into 3rd. Like itll go in at low rpms and at high if you push in the clutch and wait a sec then itll go. My clutch master cylinder is leaking and im going to replace it. It acts as if there is a wall there and it just wont go. I tried to shove it and it still wont. So now I just shift "slow" into 3rd when im racing. Any ideas why it would do that. Also it doesnt grind when it finally goes in.

Bleed your clutch. If that doesn't fix it, I'd say that your 3rd gear syncro is going out.

 

try double clutching....my 3rd gear syncro is getting bad and at high rpms it grinds when i shift into it, but when i double clutch it doesnt grind.

 

You might see some improvement when you replace your clutch master cylinder. Since it needs to be replaced anyway, I'd start with that. Its a pretty easy DIY job.

I fixed it tonite. I got a new master cylinder. When I bled it, I noticed it was like pure gun metal color fluid coming out. So I just kept adding fluid and bleeding it till it was all out. Wonder why it did that. Anyway it goes into 3rd gear just fine now. The clutch feels alot different though.
