The standard ITR front lip and wing actually reduce lift on the car by 30% at highway speeds... They're not there for show on those cars... it's there for a reason and it is applicable in everyday driving. The Mugen body kit is substantially more effective at that...

But rereading your post, I couldn't actually tell if you're for or against the actual functional spoilers... Proper sentences help get your points across.

I prefer small spoilers, and I prefer the look of the G3 integra with the standard spoiler. It gives it a good curve to the lines of the car. I like the look of the Mugen wing on actual Type-Rs though:



That car is owned by someone on this board, and I think it's one of the sexiest cars I've ever seen.

I dont know where you got that figure, must have been at the dealer or something.

There is no lift at like what 75-80 mph, and what lift there is certainly isn't influenced by a measily itr wing. Seriously, they are all just for show, and what functionality the Mugen wing does have, it dont do shit unless you are going ballz out 180+ at the raceway. ..Mugen designed their front diffuser and wing for the racetrack, not highway ricers.

I just removed mine today for a track day, the only place where you reach around 140-150mph is on the straight and you have to brake for a 2nd gear turn. There are other cars like EP3 and Seat Leon with much more hp and they don't use any wings at all either.

i like the ITR the best, IMHO for 90% of the people a wing is just for looks, and for the other 10% they run it on a road course in which it might then become functional.

the first gen mugen wing doesnt look too bad. the newer bench wing, well you either love it or hate it, functional or not. :hsugh:
