Coilovers are good but some tend to give a more bouncy ride because of a higher spring rate. If you have the money go for a shock and spring combo...but if u wanna wait, you can wait 1 MAYBE 2 years to replace your stock shocks if you ride them easily but usually after a year they'll go bad.

yepp. Sooner or later they gotta die. Because they just cant adjust to the new situation.
In a way I wish I had gone with coilovers because it would mean I don't have to start thinking about shocks, like right now so I"ll have some money saved when the time comes, but my springs do perform extrememly well. My car can take corners that others wouldn't evan dream about... others like the big heavy domestics that is... plus it looks a lot better.

:yay:

Another chic! Welcome to the boards! I have an LS and am currently trying to decide what to do with it as far as mods go. It's such a fun car to drive!

Again, welcome!

Just what this forum needs, more females. Anyhow, the suspension is a great place to start. Keep your car clean and keep it simple.

I plan on driving the hell out of my B18b, then swapping for a lower mileage GSR motor. The b18b motor has plenty of torque for what it is and it's keeping me entertained for now. When I'm done with the teg it's on to bigger better things, like an RSX type S in Red with a factory lip kit.

I agree with carta79. Keep it clean looking with every modification you may make to the car. The b18b is a great engine, I'm sure you will enjoy it for some time to come.

Welcome to HAN!

Welcome to HAN. :goodjob: Enjoy your stay with us.

Don't mind the leghumpers too much..*cough* carta79 *cough*. :chuckles:

Despite the changes in drivetrain, your experience in modifying Preludes will easily transfer to the DC Integra. And the tuning strategies are similar as well.

I'd first start out with quality wheels and performance tires. Then move on to suspension and brake system upgrades. By then, you can have a solid plan of how far you want to go with power adders, and which method of tuning you wish to follow.

There are myriad turbo and supercharger setups for the B-series engines, in addition to all the standard bolt-on mods. Furthermore, if you're looking for individuality, Crower has a full line of stroker kits as well. The sky is the limit with this platform.

It's all a matter of budget.

So once again, welcome.

Thanks for the welcomes!

Once I Start modding the car, the rule I like to follow is that I do 1 mod at a time. That way I can feel what each mod does for the car. And you get to know the car better.

I am only going to pick it up later this evening... So I haven't even gotten it yet..lol.

Good plan IMO.
I work the same way.

Takes a little longer, but the process itself is worth enjoying. h:
