Car Dynoed...help?
Got my car dynoed today, and came out alot lower then what I was expecting
...mebbe I was expectin too much? Anyway, when the dyno was done I was using a OBD1 b16a ecu. Also, I dont think my vtec is working as I cant "feel" or hear it at all. I tried swapping out the vtec switch w/someone elses and still no luck. Anyway, any suggestions? Someone told me I'm runnin pretty lean especially around 5krpm.

JRSC w/boost upgrade kit(dont have the Boost Timing Controller)
DC 4-1 JDM Headers
Metalit Hi-Flow Cat

What kinda of ECU are you going to use?
May I suggest a proper device such as AEM AMS or similar??
as for vtec, some say that when you have a blower it cancels out the feel and sound- I have never first hand seen that tho.

Yeah, I've also heard about the vtec. Ecu I was actually planning on getting a hondata, but that was originally not until next year.(broke
) Was thinking of mebbe, until I save up some money, getting a vafc or somn. Wanna drive the car, but since its runnin so lean, not going to. BTW, would retarding the timing via distrubitor do anything?

lean and blower = bad. smart move not driving it.
I'd save as fast as possible and have it tuned properly with a correct ecu.
I could not stand having a car so close and not being able to drive it...
good luck.

i still think you'd still feel the VTEC it might not be a dramatic increase in tq since their is extra boost down low
personally been scared half to death in a turbo GSR running the rev hard kit @ 8psi and 235whp
it snapped my neck when VTEC engaged

I've had great luck with my Hondata, and I can recommend them. Doesn't have to be the most expensive one to get the results you wanted.
Wired Speedlabs is having a sale on Hondata right now. You might want to ring them up or email them for prices.

Kinda of long story, but to make it short. My car was originally a 95 ls. Bought a JDM b18cr motor, a 98, and it came with the ecu. My freind who dropped the motor in for me, kinda modified the original LS wiring harness. I got a obd2-obd1 harness so i could use the OBD2 ecu. Problems kept arising, so this other guy said to just get a obd1 ecu.
I know, retarded.Anyhow, theres this black thing on the manifold part, which I was told is a pressure switch which activates some IAT relay...mines had nothing hooked on.
kinda suprised that the guy who dynoed my car didnt even warn me about me runnin lean. actually, after the run, all he said was "not bad..so, are you gonna run ur car at the 1/4 track now?" a** hole
