I don't really want to pay out the ass for someone else to replace them either because, frankly, it doesn't bother me that much.
if your trailing arm bushings need to be replaced, replacing them will have a big affect on your ride quality... just buy the parts, take the arm off yourself and have a machinist put the new ones in... it wont cost much and wont be *that* hard for you to do.

Well, maybe down the road I'll do it. I have looked at some DIY and it looks pretty tedious. Thanks for the advice, I will greatly consider it.

If the car is lowered and the suspension bolts for the trailing arms etc have been tightened with the wheels off the ground , then that is your problem. all bushings need to be at normal ride height position when tightened.

I totally understand the creaking. In fact, I had it on my 90 Teg for the first time last week, but since then every so often it makes noise. At first it sounded like the front, but now the back. I'm pretty sure the guy I bought it off did little maintenance and it probably needs one or all of your mentioned items. I guess I have to get under that baby and check. I rarely have load so it must be something that needs replacing, I'm sure. Out with the pocketbook again! The money I have put into this car! grrr

It's actually kinda embarassing because the car looks and sounds nice, but then there is this creaking noise and it sounds like an old piece of crap. lol!

Uhm, you sure the noise is coming from outside the car?

The reason I ask is that hatches and latches make some wierd noises. Might be worth the 10 seconds of labor to grease the lid latch.
