Default Just bought a teg

Just bought a teg for $3550 last wednesday. Its a 1995 Acura Integra LS 5 Speed with 138,000 miles. Clean as hell. I think a older man was driving it. Well last Thursday i ordered the following....

Skunk2 Mega Power Exhaust System for $475 shipped.
Skunk2 Lowing Springs 2.0-2.5 inch drop $150 shipped.
Clear Corners 23 shipped.
Hyper White lights (until i have enough for H.I.D. kit) I hate the look of the halogens.... $14 shipped.
All this stuff should be at my door step by Friday except the exhaust, will be here Monday.

And i also bought a bottle of clear tansparent red paint and painted my rear lights... Here are some shots. I need to get more shots of the car

Sup Hondaevo. I've been around for years, but I just got a used Integra just a short while ago. I'm not really sure about Skunk products so I wont comment on that, but anyways welcome. I'm sure your ride will look real nice once you get a chance.

Looking good so far. Welcome to HAN. Enjoy your stay with us.

A word of advice: Be sure to buy a set of quality adjustable shocks to match your springs. I'd recommend KONI Yellows or the Neuspeed - modified SP3's. With such a radical drop, firmer damping and a "camber kit" will be mandatory as well.

Once again, welcome.

*sigh* Fine...what I am trying to inform you of is the need for firmer shocks to match your lower ride height and ensuing lack of suspension travel. But if you want to go ahead and blow out your stock shocks first, then I won't try to stop you.

I'm thinking about it. Because right now i really need an alarm system. The top of the line viper alarm with beeper.... gonna cost me about 220 bucks installed. Maybe next pay check i'll look into the shocks. Will the shocks blow out in less then 4 weeks?

To save you the time spent disassembling your suspension twice, I'd wait until you had the Koni Yellows in your hands before installing your springs. That way, you only have to take the car apart once, and once you've completed the install, you can be done with it for good. The Koni shocks are very well built, and will easily last 150,000 miles. Furthermore, the Konis are designed to work with lowering springs, while your stock shocks are not. In fact, you could wind up damaging other suspension parts by running your stock shocks at such a low height.

If you're concerned about getting an alarm, then I'd focus on that first. After all, if the car were to be stolen [god forbid], the rest of it becomes irrelevant. h:

So my advice again is to enjoy the car with the stock springs and shocks for the next month or so. Then, once you have the parts ready to do the job properly, install the aftermarket springs and shocks together in one shot.
