If you're into the deep throaty noise the short ram is your answer. The CAI is more for performance as you probably read. I got AEM SRI and once I put it on I loved the noise of it. Even with my new Comptech sport exhaust I can steal here the intake which I think is really cool!! Once you hit about 2500 to 3000 RPM it sounds like a nice low punchy sound I give it a :bigok:

What most people forget is that, at least dyno proven on ITRs, AEM SRIs make more top-end power than CAIs...

CAIs help you with middle range torque... At high RPMs the faster air velocity of SRIs allow for greater HP gains.

i installed a comptech intake with icebox. it has a almost distinctive rumble to it. i like it because its just enough noise especially with a apexi n1 exhaust. it took about 2 1/2 hours to install because i had to remover the front bumper to remove the resonator. however if u want to go really cheap a friend of mine made a sri out of pvc pipe and filter, crap performance good sound.

I just ordered an AEM CAI off of WWW.PERFORMANCECENTER.COM for $157.94 on clearance!!! Can you believe it?? But I didnt get the bypass. Should I have? It says that I have to hack my CAI in two in order to use it. I dont wanna fawk it up by cutting it into two. If it's worth the hassle tho, ill do it right and see what happens. Should i go back and get it?

Ok, Got a new AEM SRI this past weekend (Gift). Will be installing it either this weekend or next. Do I need to disconnect the battery to reset the ECU? Does anyone know the part number for a K&N filter for this SRI (96 teg non-v-tech)?

Anyone need a stock air intake/resonator combo? PM me with an offer.
