The professionals are really good. The tricks to slow them down are: Reroute your hood release cable, have a second siren with it's own battery backup, get a digital tilt sensor (VERY helpful when dealing with wheel and the tow-and-run thieves), always turn your front wheels into the curb, get a fuel and/or ignition cutoff switch, and always park under a light AT THE LEAST (locked garage = the best protection). Even then, nothing's really safe...

I own a 2000 LS, which did not make that list.
It has the factory built in antitheft device, which I believe makes it a bit harder to steal.
