Default Power antenna--how to replace?

I have a '94 Integra LS with a broken power antenna. I'm not all that handy in the garage as far as fixing cars goes, but this not working is actually a real pain.

Anyway--I bought a new factory power antenna, motor and all--but how exactly does this come out/apart to replace this?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Would really like to get this fixed.

Thanks!

Can you please describe your problem? I mean, if you're problem is that the antenna doesnt go down, then all you need is a mast replacement, not a motor replacement.

It's been broken awhile. At first, it was just a broken mast and I could still hear the motor whirring. But now I'm not so sure the motor isn't also shot. In any case, the part I have already includes the motor, so I'm thinking I might as well replace the whole assembly.

Can you still hear the motor? If so, the mast is all you need to replace.

Does the mast just screw off? I've tried to take it out in the past, quite unsuccessfully.

I had this same problem 2 months ago, but I was able to sucessfully fix it. A mast will cost y'all about $20-$25. I'd stick to an OEM, as the aftermarket will probably require you to tear up the inside of y'alls cars. Here is the place where I purchased my mast:

Here are the instructions to remove the mast:

After a long battle, I won. I was able to remove the mast from the motor unit while the motor unit was in the car following these instructions http://www.antennamastsrus.com/Instructions.htm and with the help of vice grips and a hammer. However, the antenna mast sleeve was corroded to the antenna tube, which required that I remove the motor unit from the car in order to remove the sleeve. The sleeve is supposed to come out with the mast, but the corrosion kept it locked in place.

I had to roll the shoulder of the sleeve inward, then pry the wall of the sleeve away from the wall of the antenna tube bit by bit. I used some really small screwdrivers and needlenose pliers. After removing about 1" of the antenna tube, I was able to ram the sleeve down through the antenna tube using the old mast and a hammer. I then used some emory paper to remove the corrosion residue so that the new mast sleeve would slide in easily.

I reinstalled the motor unit, and fed the new mast into place as per the instructions on the website above. Voila! Good as new even if it took a little more elbow grease than I would have liked.
