Default "free" mods

does anyone know of any free or relatively cheap mods to do? like DIY stuff.

advance timing to 18º, ITR trunk brace, build your own CAI, i know a guy who fab'd his own underbody panelling and rear diffuser .... the list might be able to go on.

1.Tighten up your throtle cable for better responce.
2.Take your cluster off and spray the bulbs amber
3.Get a red crayon and melt it on your shifter then use clear nail polish to paint over the red and you will have yourself a type r shifter.
4.Take your shift boot of and sew up the lining red
5.add 5psi to your tires(hehe)
6.paint value cover

ummm I will think of more.

thanks for the replys. any more would be cool. im on a college students budget and am just tryin to do a few things to keep me occupied till i get out of school.

wow. i scraped together a few bucks and bought a cheap short ram intake bc i like the sound better, and by the time the air from CAI gets to the engine its hot already anyhow.

not as hot as the air in the engine bay being pulled in. but i have one too for better throttle response.

Most of the intakes are made out of aluminum and do not conduct heat very well, so they do not get real hot therefore not heating the air much.

you know some friend of mine actually told me that doing that is illegal (maybe just in quebec though) cause the spare tire is part of the safety in impact tests? Obvioualy could be just a urban legend i guess...
