hey all i got a stock integra and this ricer with an accord (97 4 dr)keeps hitting me up..... he has a generic intake (one he bought for 90 dollars i know cause he tried to sell me one his words were this "all intakes are the same it's just cold air, cold air is cold air to me") a big ass aluminum wing, tezza's, and dual exhaust with piping not even running FI...well i got my stock integra and i was thinking can i beat him? seeing as he lost back pressure and his car isn't as aerodynamic with the wing and i think he may have lost power off the intake. So i was thinking do i have a chance of burning some rice?

 

umm ya he has no chance esp. if you gots a gsr but itll be fun anyhow just to show him that rice is only good if you are eating it

 

if his car is automatic, and yours is stick, you'll eat up his car like nothing. if both cars are stick, you'll still beat him but not by much, if his is stick and yours is auto, close race. if both are auto, you'll beat him. you should race him for his parts. that way when u win, you can trash it and save the public from seeing his hideous modifications.

 

what kinda teg you got in the first place?

 

driver driver driver- how good of a driver are you? how good is he? have you ever taken your car to the track before? Ever practiced your launch or shifts? How long have you owned your car and how long has he owned his? the drivers in this will make the difference. You having a 5sp and him having an auto(most likely) will give you an advantage, but not a sure thing. Also, ricers like to throw together a NOS setup occasionally(and ruin their motor very soon thereafter-not a knock on NOS but ricers install and prep of a NOS setup) so beware and I would keep the $$ out of this one as this looks to be a tossup

 

he's had his car for well over a year and i've had my car for a month i drive an LS and his is also manual. No NOS supposedly he's going for all looks but still hits me up like nothing. i can launch like a madman so launch isn't an issue. He's supposedly been to the street races so i dunno i haven't raced on the street but have practiced my launches in a lot. I have a type r shifter and i shift pretty cleanly and know when to if i am racing. I've never been to the track but i know how it's done (i've launched my cars on the street before but not that badly) but yeah i think i can take him...just wanted some opinions that's all thanx for the input guys
