GSR rods
The answer everyone will give is 300whp... but I think few of us have had a rod go out the side. The rule of thumb is anything at or around 10 pounds of boost and you should start thinking about new rods. Same for 9k rpm. Strength is insurance.
Yea im thinking of boosting my hybrid next year and im just trying to plan out what i need to run a good amount of boost. My ultimate goal is 12's..... we'll just see how long it takes me to get there.
My rule is: if you change the pistons, change the rods.
$300 sounds VERY good when you just shot half your rod through your oil pan.
Besides, many aftermarket rods are lighter than stock, and less rotating mass is your friend.
