Default Oil pressure Question

I have been wondering about my oil pressure, because i have ticking thats really loud for a few seconds at cold starts...

Today i started my car and just took the oil fill cap off to see how much oil was in there (while it was running)...first of all i hope thats now harmful to the engine, i wouldnt think so though since theres lines that feed the head air anyways lol.

Well looking down in there there wasnt as much oil as i imationed would be in there, first of all i expected it to come out of the cap when i took it off, nope not a drop, i looked down to see the cam spinning and it was coated in oil and flinging it around, but there wasnt much down there, i picutured the cams being submerged...

Does this sound normal? and if it doesnt cause any harm to your engine, i would sugest taking a look at it yourselves, its pretty cool lol.

Thanks

Thats normal, oil does not flood the camshafts. No part of the head is submerged in oil.
