Default maybe getting C5 evos...

I might be getting 18'' C5 Evos from a friend soon.

Just a couple questions:

How much faster do tires wear out in general on an 18'' rim as opposed to my stock 15s...?

How fragile are these rims, considering the sidewall is greatly diminished?

Will my car be a LOT slower?

thanks.

you're gonna have to be careful about hitting any potholes w/ 18's b/c those could really mess 'em up. i dont think your car will be THAT much slower... you could prob only tell on the track. but just to let you know...if you get 18's, they will raise your car up a little bit.

raising a little bit is actually good news...my front in particular is a little too low for my liking since i got the springs and the lip.

This is just my personal experience, but I had 40 series tires on my car and I ended up bending 3 out of 4 rims in a span of 3 months...I was always cautious of hitting bumps/potholes, and I don't even remember hitting anything that would have bent the rims. When I had an alignment done, the mechanic put my wheels on the spinner and showed me that 3/4 of my wheels were slightly bent. With 18's you will probably have to go with 35 series tires which are even skinier

I guess it all depends where you live...Kansas City (where I live) has the 2nd worst roads in the U.S. If the roads are smooth where you are then go for it.
