P72's are the GS-R/SiR-G heads with the smaller combustion chambers. Type R engines, in all B-series forms, uses a PR3 head.

worse case scenario
b16a + type r head = just a plain old B16

you cant really tell from the outside if you are getting Type R stuff in there. keep in mind the block is just any old B16. the treasure in this setup is if its actually a Type R head with ITR valvetrain and cams. if its not, then its most likely just a basic B16A.

keep that in mind.

If it is a real Type R head, worst case, you have a B16A head with a decent port&polish and better cams and springs. Much better then your average B16A.

ya true.

i meant if it was just a b16 block and ended up being just a b16a head. then its not much of a find. unless thats all you are looking for.

well i was originally looking for a b16a and he had one with a type r head on it.... but he is chargeing me then same price even if it didnt have one....$1350 engine, tranny, ecu... so if it is just a b16 head i am not losing any money i just wanted to know for me to know... thanks guys
