Default noise in front end

On acceleration (1st gear only) I get a metal to metal or stiff dry bushing kind of squeak in my passenger side front end. Also, on a tight right turn I get a slight clunking from the same spot. Is this my CV joint or boot? I had my ball joint replaced about 2 years ago.

Thanks,

Chris

CV's dont squeak, they click and clunk...Since its only in first gear ot could be a bushing or other suspention component wearing, and when you acelerate and your car leans back your hear it...

CV's go click-click-click-click while turning, i dont think they click when going strait

that dry brush sound is most likely coming from worn pads. there is a squeeler that will begin to contact the rotor when there is 1.6mm of friction material left on the inside pad. and yes, when you first get to that point, touching the brakes makes it go away.

and the clunk is from your right front out CV joint. bad part is, once you can here it, it is too late.
