is this tint illegal?
i was wondering if a silverish tint was illegal on a car....i've seen it on stock lexus SUVs....they are like a goldish silver tint type...reflective tint...i'm looking to tint my black LS but then i dunno what tint i should do...normal black or reflective type...thanx for your help....
think of it like this, most tint jobs are illegal in So Cal. i forgot the exact percent is legal. But, having a tint job that is unique will just draw more attention to you and then fix a ticket (having to remove your tint) or paying around $75 and keeping it on.
Excelesor seeing that u live in CA what type of tint do you have? what percent? i'm looking for a decent tint for my integra and i was just looking for CA opinions...seeing as u also live in orange county like myself i was wondering if u could help then
I believe in CA the rear side and rear windows can be as dark as you want (i.e. limo tint). But the front windows cant be tinted.

well you can have the tint on the back of your rear windows & rear sides can be as dark as you want, you can make them limo tint or whatever color you want. the only hard part is your two front(passenger and driver side) windows, I have 15% visibility which is dark, you can't see me at night unless you have a street light pointing at me. In the day time you can see but not a from a distance. Obviously its illegal tint, but i don't care. I have had my tint for about 1.5 yr's and i haven't been stopped or given a ticket at all. My friends have, he got jacked 3 times in Irvine, those guy are bastards.
if that webpages info is correct than your legal limit for tint than you can only do 88% and up which is barely anything. I don't like having darker tint in the back and light in the front. I rather have it even all around. im sure you can go darker than 88% without getting pulled over.
