I changed my timing belt & didn't change the water pump. Then within a year my water pump started leaking. I did the work myself, but it was a nice day that I could have spent somewhere else besides changing a water pump. Your car, your money, your choice...
Sigh...I know all this has to be done, but it seems like all I see in these posts are $$$'s. When it rains, it pours, y'know? But I'd rather spend it now than a lot more later when something breaks and screws up more stuff.

i didnt feel like messin with mine, i had mine changed for 350 at a little shop that works on Imports, they did it all, along with a cleaned fuel system.....kinda pricey but hey its worth it

But if I go with recommendations here, I'd be replacing the water pump and tensioner, too, which would bump up the price tag.
