Default Brake Break-in

I just installed my front brakes. KVR vented/drilled rotors with AEM pads. Yes, I know my taste is questionable, but my question is this: What is the break-in period for new pads/rotors? Specifically, should I expect some rubbing of the pad and rotor until they're worked in a bit?
I followed KVR's instructions to go 50 mph and brake to 5mph 5-6 times and then let them cool for an hour. But when I was coasting briefly, it felt like the new brakes were creating a little drag (eg:I wasn't coasting as far/smoothly).
Did I screw up the install?
As always I am grateful for any help.

Possible they are hanging up a little, did you grease the parts that need greasing?

I think I missed a sliding pin. I'm going back in tomorrow to re-grease.
There's also a definate increase in the amount of brake dust, so it's catching somewhere.
