Just slide a razorblade under it to break the emblem glue from the body and pull it off...and yes there are holes underneath.

I have an extra set of emblems, I sell to ya if you want. I took em off and replaced them with different Acura Emblems. You just need to find some sort of adhesive to stick em back on

To do it right, you can't just paint the small areas. You have to blend up on the whole panel...sometimes even paint the whole panel...but that's if you want it to look right and match. B/c you gotta think, you're putting new paint on a used car...so it's not going to match 100%. Just my 2 cents.
