Older Acura
Just a quick question before work (yay..bleh!)..Are the older acura engines worth building? It's an 87 twin cam, 5-speed ..I can get the whole car for about 100 bucks..I just dont know if it would be worth it..I've been told that they aren't, but I thought I'd get a few more opinions..
Thanks!
Thanks!
Well, I plan to drop it into my Civic ..I dont know whether I'd go turbo, or supercharged yet..it's still in the early development stages..lol..I'm just trying to find out whether this particular year is worth building..I'm wondering..can you put a V-tec head on this engine..? has anyone tried it, or know much about the older engines?
just visually comparing the engines, my friend's 90 teg engine looks almost identical to the 87's..I know that doesnt say much for internals, etc.. ..
Anyhoo..I'll stop ranting now, and go to bed...lol..
thanks! Any advice is helpful, and appreciated

I don't know that much just now..but as far as I know it's the original engine..it's a DOHC 1.6 I believe..and I could very well be wrong on the year..87 is what I was told, it is..it's the older boxy style with the flip-up headlights..
I'll try to confirm the year tonight or tomorrow night..
Thanks!

If I could score an old Integra for $100, I'd do it in a heartbeat... but I'm also familiar with the older Hondas.
