Reminds me of my boss that dumped almost $10,000 for a SCCA GT-spec 4AGE (Toyota) engine from a "big name in SCCA Toyota engines". My buddy and I helped him install it and after reviewing the fact sheet, we could have bought all of the parts ourselves for less than $3,000. Toss in $300 for bottom end work, and it would have been identical short of the "ported and polished head". I don't know many places whose port and polish is worth $6500ish but whatever... You don't even get that with the Spoon motor.
You're paying $9000 for a sticker, some high-temp paint, and a blueprinting that a reputable shop would charge you less than $1500 for.
buy a dart block and or head(or just a b16a) and it would be way cheaper then throw your own internals in :P
hell LS vtechs, ls block and b16a head produce more power to the wheels than a type-r integra engine..just do that :P i believe ls vtechs push around 179 to the pavement...

You're talking out of your ass. The ONLY advantage a "ls vtechs" engine would have over a B18C5 is a slightly larger displacement, but it completely hampered by a block design which was never made to rev high enough to make appropriate power.
