Default The Beast crate engine.

Anybody heard of Mr. Gasket's crate engine, "The Beast"? I saw a small article about it recently in Super Street. It's a 2 liter Honda engine that supposedly puts down 220 hp to the wheels out of the box. Anybody have more info. about this engine? Street legal (emissions...)?

check out www.mrgasket.com and goto press releases and find an article on "the beast" or just do a google search for "mr. gasket"+"the beast" and you'll find an article

I called Mr. Gasket today about the "beast". It will be avalible in Aug 03. I ask what the price was for the longblock and the salesman was unsure, but said it would range from 6k-12K!!!!!!!! Holy $hit batman. There are 6k-12k other ways I'd spend my money IMO.

holy crap... ya, i e-mailed them and got a reply that it's a 1.8L block, not a 2.0L and that it's only 200 wheel hp, not 220 as stated elsewhere... i agree, i'll spend 6-12K elsewhere...

thats not very impressive if you ask me. you could build a b18c 200 whp for way less than what they're asking.
