i recently purchased used but in great condition skunkwork cam gears. i know skunkwork is the same company as skunk2 so does that mean these cam gears are from their old line..would there be a diff between these and the ones skunk2 has out today?..any huge diff as far as slipping and known probs or they would work the same?

 

Some of their old stuff was pretty ghetto (coilovers), but I don't know about their gears. Post pics.

 

it looks like the newer ones labeled skunk2..comes with 6 bolts to tighten also..just diff labels..is it true that the more bolts to hold it the better?

 

Well, 4+ bolts are fine imho. Only ones I've heard of issues with are either A) crap or B) AEM
