Engine block JERKS while shifting from Park->Drive->Reverse
Hi All,
I just noticed it when my friend was putting my car from park -> reverse -> drive and I had the hood open - the entire engine basically jerks while being shifted. Is this normal? Is something lose?
I have a 1995 Acura Integra Special Edition, Automatic.
Thank you

Thank you for the replies - my engine jerks almost like the ones in the video on the thread that MrFatbooty linked (thanks for that link)
No one came to the conclusion it was the engine mounts... is it? Anyone know? Is this normal or should I do something about it? I don't want anything to get worse...

Basically the transmission shifting causes the drivetrain to torque at its mounts. Over time the mounts get worn down and offer less resistance to that torque. So yeah most likely it's the mounts are worn which is why you're noticing the drivetrain jerking around more.

Thank you!
mounts are easy to fix. un bolt, pull, replace, bolt. cost, depends on where you get them from. the hard parts are; unbolting~how much road grime has accumulated? And linning up the engine/tran to re bolt. both easy to deal with, but heads up.
