Only 250? That reinforces my point that the C5 needs more flow than a straight T3 can offer in the upper end. But you are right in a sense, if the power goals are that conservative, then the miniature turbos will be fine.

jan: I can't remember the exact numbers but it was 250 up to 280 or so.. but the entire setup cost $1,100. Mostly all pulled from junkyards. A lot of people with T3/T4's are making well less than 300whp too so I think that's a pretty good number for such a budget setup...

That's a lot of bang for the buck. $1100 for a 280whp type R, is nice.

you can hear centrifugal SC's not the JRSC. the JRSC is totally silent at idle and is pretty quiet at full boost .

you have given me a lot to think about.... maybe hiding the turbo isn't the best idea. Either stick it up with N/A or go turbo all out.
I have a thirst for more power, so I have a feeling it will end up being the later of the two.

One nice thing about a turbo on an ITR is it keeps away a lot of challengers, even the Supra's think twice now before messing with me.
