I just got a JDM front end for my car. I actually found someone like 40 mins from me that has like 5 of them, and he's selling HID front ends that are all OEM for 2200 bucks, pretty damn good deal if you asked me. They're all used and have some minor scratches, but considering that mine is yellow, and this one is white, I guess it really doesn't matter the condition of the paint as long as the rest is in good condition. Any way to make a long story short, I went to pick it up, and he gave me the whole front clip, from strut towers forward.

My question is, which spot welds to drill out, and other than obviously needing the radiator supports, what else should I save, how do you wire the HIDs, and is there anything I should know other than that????

Also, if someone needs a new ABS module, I've now got an extra, along with what ever is attached to the car, keeping in mind some of it may be on the wrong side...

Aj

It's a place called JspecR, they had at least one more when I went, which seemed to be in good condition. I must admit, they were all pretty scratched and scuffed, but considering that i have a yellow car and it was white, it didn't really matter to me any way. They weren't at all dented or anything like that, so I figured it was a pretty good deal.

Any way the website is www.JspecR.com and the guy to talk to is Ron, the (305) number is his cell, call him first. Tell him Aj, the kid that picked up the front end in the GTi sent you, maybe he'll hook you up. Any way, he has a pretty trick skyline that he pulled up in, so I guess he must be doing ok. Any way, if you can't get a hold of him, let me know and I'll call him for ya.

AJ, I did my own front end conversion using the help of honda-tech.com Use the search function for posts made by a member named "Mase" He did a step by step "how to" and that's what i used as my guideline. Oh yeah also do a search for "jdm headlight wiring" you also find all the wiring diagrams. Good Luck

OK let me try and help. Drill out all the weilds. You are going to need a prelude (92ish) hood latch release wire. The reason is the JDM cars come with the wire from the right hand side so on you JDM rad support it will mount up on the right side and the USDM wire won't reach. Other then that you don't need anything. It is very simple to do if you have someone or yourself that knows how to weild. When drilling out your weilds on the USDM rad support don't worry about trying to say the spot just dril right through it. Theres about 18 to 20 weilds to be drilled out. When your weilding the JDM one on don't worry about putting that many weilds on it. If you get good weilds you'll only need between 10-15 weilds. Also make sure you use a lever to get that bad boy on there even. As fare as wiring the lights its easy. You should be able to look at it and figure it out. Like someone said theres a diagarm on HT.com that shows you how to do everything. I'm still (I've had my front end for about 1 1/2 years) haven't been able to wire my fog lights. I'm trying to get them wired up with the OEM JDM fog switch and hooking it up the OEM way but I'm have trouble finding info on this. Anyway let me know if you have anyother questions and I'll try and help or let you know where to find more info if I don't know.

As long as you know how to use a relay and have the harness clip for the JDM fog light switch, you should just be able to wire it without have the factory plug and play method. Unless you're good at inserting pins into the fuse box, Either way, as long as you have a fused relay, you can run them like regular fog lights.

Also, hey, where did you get the harness for the JDM Fog light switch. I found the fog light switch, but no one seems to be able to get the harness that plugs into it.

Thanks,
Aj

Thats where I'm at. I'm trying to find it too. I know for a fact that it uses the regular teg cruse control harness but there's none in any junk yards. When I went home to Miami on leave I went to some place thats nothing but Honda (junk yard type place) and those fucks wouldn't let me cut it of the dash harness they wanted me to buy the whole freaking thing ($180).

Jealousy isn't your style....hahahahah.....just go get one, I told you I can get em' pretty cheaply.

Yeah, I think I may be able to find the harness if it's just the regular teg cruise control harness. Thanks for the tip, I thought it would have been different, but I guess it makes sense, given that it's the same button, just with a different function.

Yeah and it shows how race inspired the car really is they didn't just tie it off some where in the dash. They took the whole thing out for weight.....good but bad in a way. No problem let me know how it turns out and pics.....lots of pics.....
