Just wondering if anyone has used the tokico struts for autocross. Do they adjust well for street and track. Thanks Nick

You may wanna look into a set of Bilsteins or Konis. I'm not wild about Koni's as they are a bit stiff for my taste, but realistically, those are better performing struts. Of course it also depends on what springs you are going to use. You may also want to look into an inexpensive set of coil overs if they're in your budget.

Anyway, Later,
Aj

I want to be able to race in d stock so I cant change my springs. The koni's for the rear do not adjust without taking them off the car. I will check into the Bilstiens. Thanks Nick

You're better off stock, than with the Tokico's unless you find a set of "Rallye's" They're the only tokico shocks that are stiffer than the factory R struts. GAB's are a better alternative, but are hard to find.

In all honesty, you don't need shocks on an ITR to win in DS. I was a top 10 finisher at Nats in '00 and '01 with stock shocks and the car was good enough for the top 5 each year if someone a little less mistake prone was driving. David Fauth and Kevin McCormick would agree the stock shocks are really good and unless you're a tenth or two from that national championship probably won't provide the difference you're looking for. Also be advised that many aftermarket shocks for the R (especially rear ones) are actually softer than the factory.

Just my $.02

Thanks for your post Jeff. I have already decided not to go with the tokico and was entertaining buying the new koni's where the rear ones are externally adjustable now. In fact I think I read, from your web site, you were using the Koni's that were revalved. If you dont mind let me know how you like the them. Thanks Nick
