Looking for some input. I do drag racing only, not interested in road courses. I run street tires on the street, and until now on the track as well, my dilemma is at this point, do I go Slicks, has anyone broken axles out there using a small slick? Is anyone running drag radials?

This is just me, but some people are all motor phanatics, I'm a street freek. I say keep it street legal. I use 15 inch G-force. I ran a 12.4 with a 1.98 60 foot and I know I can do better. As far as axels go, I've broken my driver side 3 times on the drag radials. So in my oppinion Drag Radials are more efective then baby or small slicks. If you got the power that you need slicks then cool use real slicks and after market axels. I put about 300 to the ground. If you do get the the G-force, make sure you break them in properly. It says to do a burn out for like a full minite then let them sit for 24 hours. But dont quote me, get the instructions. I didn't break mine in correctly and I could tell a big difrence

Has much as I would love a type R, no I dont have one. My current GSR platform is in a civic with 9:1 pistons (SRP), eagle rods, skunk 2 intake maifold, MSD, remaped ECU, VTEC coltroller, Integra Type R LSD diff., place racing motor mounts, a straight 2 1/2 exaust, and a complete custom Turbo kit (T3-T4)V-spec wheel, the turbo was honed out a bit for faster spolling. BUT the Civic is going away. Im in the process of buying a 96 GSR Integra. So I plan to send my current Motor off and possably sleave it. And I still need a stand alone ECU, and I will have an extra B18. I know Im picking up extra weight but I want the comfort and style of the Integra. But I will still hit my 11's hopefully street legal. With my 12.4 I was only running 12 pounds, I plan to run much more. But things are hard for me to do now B/C I live in Italy now. So thats a little bit about me

Well, maybe you can pick up a Ferrari and drop the B18 into that. The Italians don't understand that too many cylinders is just no good.

Well, I ended up ordering drag radials, I'll let you know in the spring how they work.

I have drag radials on my stock tires and didn't make my car any faster...It ran a 14.2 with street tires)17's and 14.2 with 555's....it was my 1st time with them so I don't know if maybe I need to practice more or what

555R's aren't as good as the BFG's. you need to heat drag radials up alot. also you can't just side step them either. ride the clutch a bit and you will get much better 60fts. also, raxles are pretty cheap and a decent axle. they will replace it if it breaks too. if you want to go all out call driveshaft shop

I pulled a best 2.095 60ft on factory stock tires, so my drag radials should help significantly.
