Koni struts
I was wondering if anyone has autox with koni struts. I cannot change my springs because I still want to race D stock. Maybe you can suggest a adjustable strut. Thanks Nick CW 98-1095

trey, you sure about that? I know the rear AGXes for civics have the adjustment knob on the body of the shock, so you have to get "under" there to make adjustments. I would guess teg shocks to be the same, but maybe the ITR units are different.

Nick,
I autocrossed my GSR in STS with the Koni's and I was very happy with them. I was able to dial the amount of over/understeer that I wanted. The ITR that I have also have them, so I'm expecting good results next year.
Regarding the rear's on the Type R, they are adjustable, but you need to remove them from the car and twist the two halves relative to each other. I don't know why Koni did this, but they did. The GSR had adjusters at the top all around.
NOTE...The rear's are set for 3/4 firm all the time, and I'll set the fronts to full firm for autocross (via the top adjusters).
I've also heard of someone that has double adjustable Koni's on a Type R. I don't know if these are readily available or if they had Koni modify them.
It's my understanding that most of the top solo ITR's run the Koni struts.
I hope this helps.

If it's a car you don't plan on driving on the street, Koni's are pretty good, but for the street, they seem a little harsh to me, and I ride around on a full set of race coilovers. For the street, I would look at a set of bilstein sports, they not only handle very well, but you can for like $30 have them valved any way you want. If you need some contact names at bilstein, let me know, we seem to deal with them a lot.
As I said, Koni makes a nice shock, but mainly for road racing, it seems the yellows for the street are very similat to smaking yourself in the face with a hammer every time you hit a bump.
Any way, Good Luck,
Aj

Nick, another thing to consider if you go with the Konis, is that they can be reworked/rebuilt almost any way you want (double adjustable, remote resevoir, etc.) by Truechoice in OH. Seems to be a nice potential of the shocks if you plan to keep them for a while.
