If I can jump on to this, what about replacing the boots themselves? Is this terribly difficult? I've got all of the boots and bands and such, but I can't find the special tools the helms manual recommends. I've lost most of the fluid in one of the joints already though... so heh. Is it even worth the trouble, or should I buy some aftermarket racing axles (I'll use them) and just call it good?

advanced auto has reputable axles with a lifetime warranty as well...your pick.

my dad had axles installed on my car while i was away, and the mechanic ordered these "special" axles. he told my dad that i will like them...the only thing they do is make this whining sound as I accelerate.
