Default before my dyno..99 gsr

alright my friend is getting his car dynoed soon, after he puts a new intake manifold from dh-racing in, and wants to get a base hp reading before. On his car right now he has:

dc-style headers
aem v2 intake
apexi n1 with 2.5

he's thinking about 160 to the wheels. im thinking more around 130-35 ish.

the dh-racing manifold GUARANTIES 25 to the wheels so he just intrested.

lol btw its a 99 gsr

I'm going to have to doubt 25rwhp gain. Not saying it's impossible, but unlikely. A lot of times, companies will say about 25-20 rwhp gains for an exhaust header but what the common person doesn't take into account is the extent to which the car was modified (ie. forced induction). On a motor with forced induction, those numbers aren't that hard to believe. I'll agree with you on mid 130's.

Heh, I looked at that DH Racing site and this manifold is just a ported stock unit. I'm highly skeptical of the 25 whp claim, but hey ya never know. I doubt it'd do much better than an ITR or skunk2 manifold, both of which are good for about 5-8 hp.

ya those claims are kinda high. u think they would get hammered with complants when they say in capitol letters, 25 hp to the wheels guarteened. neone have ne experiance with it.

i wish my friend would do a b4 and after dyno but thats a lot of cash.

so mid 130s sounds about right?
