Default REAR brakes for '95 Integra SE

I've changed my front brake pads serveral times, but never my rear pads. Having never done this, is there anything different about changing the rear pads versus the front. Same componet set up, etc.?

Obviously the pads are different, and I think the rear are disk brakes as well?

Thanks.

Pretty Much the same except in the rear caliper you must turn the piston to get back into the caliper

To ease the piston turning procedure, go to sears and pick up this piston tool that costs $12 and is used with a rachet. I heard you can also use long nose pliers but I haven't changed the pads on the rears yet so I can't really say.

Be sure to have a strap or wire to hang the calipers, so they don't dangle by the brake line. Check your slider pins and boots. One of my boots was torn and the slider was frozen in the fixture. It took me some time to repair and it caught me by surprise, but I was smart enough to start the project (replaced rotors, pads, cleaned parts...)early. Give yourself a little extra time just in case. And yeah, the ratchet piston tool would have helped; I used a wide chisel. Good luck.

I used needle nose pliers. Have some of the right grease to lube the parts as needed. You will almost certainly have to adjust the parking brake, which will require removing the console, jacking up the rear of the car and spinning the back wheels while adjusting the handbrake cable

Exactly...same deal, pretty straightforward except you turn the piston with plyers, a flathead, or whatever, rather than clamp it in.

The piston tool makes things easier, but you can use other tools.
