I have a 1994 Integra LS

just over 200,000 KMS

Not driving it right now cause it possibly needs a new clutch (so it seems anyways)

Also.. when I let it run, after about a minute some black stuff..almost like really watered down oil comes out the exhaust.

Any Help on what I can do. How can I check if its the clutch thats gone and not the tranny/syncros or something else, and what would you diagnose as the black stuff coming out my exhaust?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well how does the cluth pedal feel? weak? is it slipping as far as the clutch goes?

 

Clutch Pedal feels normal. Shifting is really hard. Somtimes (especially in first) i cant shift at all. And its not slipping.

change the fluid in the tranny.

 

im having the same problem....i chged tranny fluid...still no help..

when i shift from say first to second its hard, it stalls right before it goes into gear and then goes...does this almost everygear but sometimes its smooth, weird .....sometimes when i have the clutch in and am letting it out and gassin the car starts to shake like ima stall it even tho im not doing anything wrong...im thinkin its the clutch tho, any ideas ?

yeah that sounds like mine.. inconsistent as well. Sometimes OK.. most of the time pretty bad.

 

black stuff out of exhaust = almost always means youre burning oil. probably worn out piston rings...happens with that many miles.

 

Put it in gear standing still, put on handbrake, does it stall out when you let the clutch out? If so, clutch is probably not too bad, if it is slipping, it will be less likely to stall. Is it easier to get in gear with a bit of a throttle blip when driving around? if so , may be syncro issue. Check your clutch hydraulic fluid level too
