Default my modified shifter

i wanted a sportier look so i got a stock shifter and sent it with my friend (he is pretty handy with metal) he cut 2 sections out of it, one below the bends one above - about an inch each. i installed it yesterday with some energy suspension bushings. here are a couple of pics, one compares the new shifter with stock and the other is a pic of it in the car.

holy damn my car is dirty!

well there is no different in the actual throw but being shorter but it has less travel (pendulum theory) sooo its not a real short shifter, just looks cool

with the new bushings, it feels nice and solid... it looks really short (and it is) but i really like it, not hard to reach... the only big big change is i cant fiddle with the cd player without takin my hand off of the shift knob

You should see mine. It puts the shifter right next to the steering wheel!
