Ive always liked the jdm front havnt seen alot of cool fronts for it tho. Im searching for the Mugen Front air dam version but i cant seem to find any links or pics.
The front air dam looks slightly different, and it serves a functional purpose of creating a vacuum under the front end (Thus increasing front downforce), but you're gonna have to pay $1,080 for an unpainted bumper that still requires the entire JDM front end... I'm guessing a bit out of your budget...

If you wanna go full Mugen though, it can be had for about... hrm... 7~7.5K painted and installed?

Keep it civil, everyone. :squint:

RB has a point, I must admit. An objective answer about an aesthetic issue (which appears to be your POV, Tang) is not possible....That said, I say stick with the stock bodywork, perhaps get a USDM ITR lip and / or wing. I am much more impressed by a clean, stock car with intelligent functional performance-oriented modifications than I am by a car sporting an extroverted bodykit.

And that quasi- S15 front end is absurd IMO - along with all of the other "hybrid conversions" on the market, outside of the Mugen/Honda ITR conversion mentioned earlier. In closing, think about this. For the $7K spent on a Mugen makeover, you could build a phenomenal chassis, motor and drivetrain and have a clean, dent-free stockbody DC.

I know which one I'd choose.

For 7K, I could get some Volk wheels, upgrade my whole brake system, get some ZealB6 coilovers, and have my block rebuilt to a 2.0L monster... that would be fun... :happysad:

Exactly. With $7K and my car - oh lord - Recaro Leather seating... Foamseal and crossbrace the chassis, StopTech Brakes at all four corners. A set of Volk SE37s and R-Compound Rubber... Topped off with a bored-out 2.0L Turbo B18B, Torsen LSD, Freshened Syncros, Uprated Clutch & Stage 3 Axles from the Driveshaft Shop... yeah... that'd do me fine... h:

i love the jdm conversion, but did you ever think of the CL conversion? For while now i havent been able to decide between the two. Also, someone did make a good point, america did make a very unique front end for the integra, you might just want to stick to it. Soon, everyone is going to have a conversion, and the front bumper on the integra here is sweet, put a lip on it, and youre ready to go. :naughty:

Werd. If you want to be flashy or whatever, go ahead and do that conversion. Be prepared to receive mad shit for it though.

IMO, the CL conversion is just as ugly, played-out and poorly engineered as that s15 monstrosity. :a: I'd spend money elsewhere.

Honestly this is not the forum to be asking if you're looking to spend a bunch of money on exterior modifications. The prevailing bias here is towards making subtle upgrades to the exterior while improving the way the car drives.

Now if you really do want to get a Mugen kit, keep in mind that it will cost a ton. The bumper is $1080, the hood is $1599, the side skirts are $780 and the wing is $680. These prices are from King Motorsports, the official USA distributor of Mugen parts. There might be some shitty knockoff versions available out there but their quality will be reflected by their price and I would stay away. This would all be in addition to the cost of a JDM front end conversion.

Ultimately it comes down to whether you want to look at your car or drive your car. It takes several thousand dollars worth of investments to make significant upgrades to a car's exterior with any sort of quality which is why most people here tend to focus on making the car drive better first.

Not only is the CL conversion gross, but it's been played out since about 1998. It doesn't help that all of the options for going this route are made out of shitty fiberglass either.
