Default street legal turbo?

are the greddy turbo kits street legal? i know they used to be, but with all the new smog laws i don't know anymore. especially in california. i went to greddy's site, and it doesn't say anything about being street legal. and the kits say for the 95+ integs. what up with the 94-95's? can someone help out with this? shanks a lot.

If im correct, greddy's kit is CARB legal...(street legal) for 96-99 GSR...but the FMIC voids the CARB sticker..

hum just curious on that, yes it's true that the greddy turbo is legal, but i never heard of the fmic voiding the carb sticker. all it is, is just cooling the turbo and safer for the car, it has no effect on emission what so ever, hum i'm just as lost as cu3tip...

Yeah, the intercooler voids the CARB legality. Not sure why, though. In other states, we don't have to worry about stuff like that.

The kits are 96+, I believe because in '96 integras switched to the OBD-II ecu and emissions system. I hear the kits still work on 94-95's with not too much work, but I don't know what kind of work that is.

The Greddy kit IS carb legal. The FMIC kit is pending Carb exemption. If you add a BOV, I believe it voids the Carb exemption as well.

Default obd1

if you have an obd1 (94-95) it wouldn't matter if the turbo is carb legal cuz it is for the 96-01 huh?

The 94-95 kit is supposed to be out already, so it would be Carb legal. A kit for a 96-01 on a 94-95 would not be legal.

If you live in Cali just call the BAR and ask the source.
