An FPR's pretty much an FPR, no matter who makes it, right?

Dave Stadulis and Steve Sakai put an AEM on my car when they were tuning it, and it hasn't been the first bit of trouble.

You just need to be able to adjust the fuel to tune the car...I don't know why one would be better than another, honestly.

Unless you plan on actually analyzing the effects of increasing the pressure (i.e. on a dyno), I would spend the money on something else. A mild setup shouldn't need much, if any, more fuel, and a more heavily modded setup will require more than just a FPR for tuning. If you are set on playing with the fuel, then at the very least, you should purchase the FPR, a gauge, and some sort of fuel-tuning computer.

Going back to your original question though, the B&M has worked perfectly well on my brother's car.

They don't really matter...it's just a tool as stated above.

However, if you're running a 4 pt. neuspeed bar, sometimes it's hard to have them clear that area without a little work (AEM). However, they, along w/the Vortech one as well...do the job just fine.

I have seen no problems with AEM regulators ever.
