ok, so following the advice of a friend, i replaced my passenger side lower ball joint (there were clunking sounds). that went fine, and the clunking sound went away for around 100 miles. now it's back. the steering feels loose again too. i almost drove it into a telephone pole out of frustration last night. what is making this noise? could it be a worn strut? tie rod? the fact that it went away after a replaced the ball joint then came back confuses me. anyway, i'm out of ideas and patience.
